Inspiration

I realized that I struggle to articulate my thoughts and emotions. You know, it's harder to express feelings in a second language—it's easier in your own. Then, I thought I could borrow someone else's words. I am not the only one who has felt this way; others have experienced the same emotions and have written about them. Their words can become my words, as they echo my feelings. That is how my creative composition app was born. Others out there were searching for their voice too. So, I thought, why not create a space where we can all find inspiration and the right words to express our unique stories?

What it does

Creative Compositions is a sanctuary for expression. It's an app that lets you borrow from the wealth of expressions that humanity has to offer. Here, you can stitch together phrases from different sources to convey exactly what's in your heart or mind. It's like having a conversation across time with the greatest minds and the most heartfelt souls.

How I built it

I took the simplest approach—why complicate something that's meant to ease the process of communication? The app pulls from a rich database of quotes, lyrics, literary excerpts, and historical speeches, offering users a buffet of phrases to choose from and piece together their narrative.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest hurdle? Ensuring that the app didn't just become a jumble of words. It needed to foster a genuine sense of connection and understanding, to make sure that when you used someone else's words, they felt authentically your own.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud of the moments when users tell me they've found their voice through Creative Compositions. When they share stories of mended relationships, newfound confidence, or personal revelations, I know this app has become more than just a tool—it's a companion on their journey.

What I learned
