Creating an Alexa Skill Using Echo Dot Given by MLH

Inspiration

We were given an Echo Dot from MLH and wanted to learn how to create new Alexa skills.

What it does

Once you say "Open Hack Test" to Alexa, it will ask you to say Hack Test to start it. Once you oblige, Alexa will give a greeting and describe the purpose of this skill.

How we built it

We built this Alexa Skill by utilizing the Alexa Developer Skills.

Challenges we ran into

We ran into challenges with the code in which we at first chose to use Node.js. Fortunately, we were able to remedy this situation quickly once we noticed that it was not something familiar.

We are proud of being able to create an Alexa Skill.
