Inspiration
I was inspired by the Template created by the GitHub team that was previously available on GitHub.dev
What it does
This website showcases my work as a software developer. It shows 4 different sections:
- The Sidebar where you can see my picture, my name and my social media handles
- My Projects where you can see the most starred GitHub repositories I have created
- My Interests where you can the topics that I would like to learn more about
- My Thoughts where you can see different blog posts that I have written
How I built it
I build it by forking the GitHub.dev Repo and following the instructions mentioned in there README document.
And I have customized it with my own links and information.
Challenges I ran into
After committing some changes to my files, these changes weren't showing immediately on the website.
I have learnt to delete the cache (mostly in Safari) in order to see the changes rendered there.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I have linked my Github Pages website to a custom domain that I have already bought.
I have done this by going to the Settings of my Repo and adding a lot Custom domain under Github Pages.
What's next for Personal Portfolio using GitHub Pages
I am willing to update this website further by using it as a Blog for my future technical blog posts.
