What it does
We bring together all needed stakeholders in order to install photovoltaic (solar cell) power systems on previously unused roof spaces and south facing facades. This provides the consumers in the buildings with green and even cheaper energy. This will provide job opportunities for people who lost their job due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
Acquisition/rent of roof space and south facing wall; Aggregation of single roof spaces into larger projects Acquisition of capital; Community Building; Coordination of implementation partners; Installation orders; Regulatory compliance; Contract management; Maintain technical compliance; Integration of administration & maintenance
How we built it
We start with a landing page in order to get contact with interested stakeholders and to evaluate the market potential. Furthermore we will be able to use our networks to raise investment capital which could bring our project to fruition. We will coordinate the installation of photovoltaic cells for stakeholders.
Challenges we ran into
The challenge we faced was to understand the legal restrictions,
Investors interests and orientations.
The existing limitations which currently prevent the installation of PVs on untapped rooftop spaces in Switzerland.
Accomplishments that we are proud of
We will be able to create a win-win-win situation for society, for economy and for individual people: Creating infrastructure projects to combat the economic crisis; Creating jobs; Investing in green energy with a sustainable impact on the climate
What we learned
Everything is possible if motivated and skilled people come together for a common goal.
What's next for
The next step will be to consult potential investors, landlords as well as other stakeholders. We have to understand better the regulatory framework and commercial laws. Furthermore we need to develop a viable financial model.
