Inspiration
The daily challenge "Create a To Do List Application" daily challenge for MLH's Local Hack Day" Build event.
What it does
A to do list application in which the user can input a to do item for it to pop up on the bottom of the list. The user can mark an item as completed with a strikethrough by tapping on the item and delete it with the delete button.
How we built it
I used the React Native template from Day 1. I referenced quite a few tutorials such as this one (https://github.com/cursorclub/react-native-todo), and customized the app along the way to my envisioned interface.
Challenges we ran into
The tapping functionality to strikethrough the item took a little time, but was manageable.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I’m satisfied with the clean look, as sometimes I just want something to note down and cross off things quickly, as opposed to many functionalities or a dense interface.
What we learned
How to create a basic application using React Native.
What's next for Create a To Do List Application
Trash bin for deleted to do items Responsiveness for very long items Moving to do items around
