Inspiration

I was inspired to build this project through a challenge listed in the MLH ML/AI GHW.

What it does

The RAG app created successfully takes in a PDF input and allows the user to ask questions about the content within it.

How we built it

The app was built by following a LiveLabs workshop on the Oracle website and running consecutive snippets of code in Jupyter Notebook.

Challenges we ran into

Not many challenges were encountered due to the ease of the follow-along process in the workshop, however, understanding the code was a little foreign.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am proud to have completed the workshop to create the RAG app and finish the challenge for GHW.

What we learned

Throughout this project, I learned about various machine learning technologies and how they can be used to create an app that involves it.

What's next for Create A RAG App In 7 Steps

Later on, I plan to use the information I took away from this project to set the foundation for a more complex RAG app that has similar functionality. Perhaps, I could add a dynamic and aesthetically pleasing front-end with a different framework to improve the app.
