Inspiration
Having a developer profile, something apart from LinkedIn and written resume was needed in order to reflect my actual skills and abilities. There is so much things that you done/contributed, it becomes difficult to present all of it in concise manner. GitHub pages provide an excellent platform were you can showcase your projects and profile, everything you have learned in your journey till now.
What it does
It provides you a platform to showcase your work/abilities
How I built it
I built it using markdown with a touch of HTML in it. The page contains GIF/images contained in the repository as well as over the internet. Also, at the bottom there are cards showcasing the concise information about the whole GitHub profile.
Challenges I ran into
Aligning elements was not easy and straight forward. It requires many trial and error, and I am happy how ti turned out.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I interviewed for the position of Web Lead at DSC ADGITM. After 3 rounds of interview, as was considered the best suited candidate for the psotion has I had experience and knowledge working with many web technologies. Its a big deal for me and I am proud of myself and happy that my handwork paid off. Still the journey continues.
What I learned
I learn a lot about static hosting, markdown and soft skills like how to present yourself and information about yourself. I thought it would be a fairly easy task, but it wasn't. Glad that i learned this important life lesson.
What's next for Create a Personal Site with GitHub Pages
I was thinking of creating a modular template for anyone to create thier profile easily. With customisable sections and different themeing options, it would be super cool and useful for a lot of people.
