Inspiration
We always wanted items from our favourite stores, but oftentimes were too lazy to make the journey there. What we could pay people who were already in those stores to deliver items back for us? Similarly, some of us were already at those stores, and often wouldn’t mind delivering items back to those who wanted them, for a fee.
What it does
A crowdsourcing delivery app that connects students who want items delivered to them with students who are already at places that sell those items.
How I built it
Coded for iOS in Swift, with backend handled by Parse
Challenges I ran into
Coordinating the development among members of the team was quite tricky and we kept running into merge conflicts
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We’re quite proud of having built this over the span of this weekend!
What I learned
I gained a lot of experience on coding with iOS, working with maps APIs and displaying and relaying information from databases
What's next for craveit
We are planning to launch the app in our campus. We’ll see how it goes!
