Inspiration
Finding a community built around your interests can be hard, especially when you're busy. Our inspiration was to build a platform to seamlessly and automatically organize casual local meetups centered around common interests, be it a hobby, a show, a restaurant, or simply boredom.
What it does
Right now, you can select an interest from a small selection and your mood and view others selections as well.
How we built it
We used Blockstacks' Animal Kingdom template.
Challenges we ran into
As a team, we knew very little about web apps, JavaScript, React, and etc. It took a long time just to figure out what was going on with the code.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This was three of our members' first hackathon, and we're proud we toughed it all the way through. We all learned a lot, participated in workshops, and had a really fun time.
What we learned
We learned the basics of web design so that for the next project, we can hit the ground running. We also learned about decentralized user sign-on using BlockStack.
