Inspiration

Running a small business, handmade venture, or artisan brand solo means wearing every single hat yourself. Independent makers, homemakers, students, and small business owners burn out not because they lack passion or skill, but because they are forced to act as HR managers, marketing strategists, customer support agents, inventory managers, and finance teams all at once. CraftPilot was inspired by the real-world struggle of one-handed business management—built to serve as a true 50/50 AI co-founder that lifts operational burnout so makers can focus on creating.

What it does

CraftPilot is an autonomous AI agent built on Gemini and Google Cloud that handles 50% of the daily operational workload for solo entrepreneurs. It streamlines critical business functions:

• Marketing & Creative Strategist: Generates tailored social media posts, product launch copy, and niche hashtag strategies.
• Customer Support Co-Pilot: Drafts empathetic, accurate customer support responses for order status and custom requests.
• Inventory & Vendor Operations: Automates raw material restock alerts and drafts purchase emails to vendors.
• Finance & Administration: Summarizes daily sales logs, organizes operational tasks, and provides simple decision-making insights.

How we built it

• AI Engine: Google Gemini API for core reasoning, multi-role agent prompts, and natural language generation.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for hosting agent endpoints and managing backend integration.
• Orchestration: Python and framework tools to connect user inputs directly with Gemini agent tools.

Challenges we ran into

Building an agent that seamlessly balances multiple distinct business roles (marketing vs. inventory vs. customer care) without confusing instructions required careful prompt structuring and routing logic in Gemini.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Creating a zero-friction co-pilot concept specifically designed for non-technical users, homemakers, and small business owners who don't have time to learn complex technical tools.

We learned how to leverage Gemini's advanced reasoning capabilities to build structured agent workflows that take multi-step actions rather than just generating basic text answers.
