Inspiration

Okay, let me tell you how it all started. My whole AI journey actually got that "wow" moment when I started exploring Bolt and building products on it. It was really fun and exciting. After creating a few MVPs, I stopped using Bolt for a while. Then, this hackathon came up, and I was super interested to participate. But honestly, no ideas were clicking at first. The first thing that came to my mind was about daily problems — like form-filling. I thought of making an automated form-filling app, but I found it difficult to integrate all the libraries into a web app, so I dropped it. Yesterday, I was almost about to give up on submitting anything. Suddenly, this idea popped into my mind: Why not create an AI interviewer for students preparing for campus interviews? I thought about how most of us in India feel before campus interviews — we are nervous, we don't know what to expect, and mock interviews aren't really common. We are too shy even to do a mock with our friends! So I discussed it with my partner, and we started building immediately. Believe it or not, we came up with the idea yesterday, brainstormed, and built the project overnight. And here it is — Crackit with AI!

What it does

So, what does Crackit with AI actually do? It allows college students to experience a real-like voice-based mock interview. Instead of typing answers (which is not realistic at all), students get to speak, just like they would in a real interview. This helps them know how they sound, where they pause, and how clear their answers are. The good part is, since it's not a video, there’s no fear of someone watching. Students can feel free and relaxed. They can try two or three times, improve step by step, and slowly overcome their shyness and build confidence.

How we built it

Crackit with AI was built using Bolt and integrated with ElevenLabs conversational AI agent for a smooth voice interview experience. The best part? There were no big challenges! It was so easy and fun that we started building yesterday evening and I’m submitting it today. That’s how fast and smooth Bolt made it for us.

Accomplishments

Honestly, the biggest accomplishment is taking an idea, giving it a shape, and seeing it work in real life — that happiness is beyond words. Even if I don’t win any prize, I will definitely continue to build this further. I feel so content and happy because I know this app can really help students get rid of their interview fears and get ready for one of the most important moments in their life — that first job interview. It’s like first love, you always remember it!

What's next

Next, I’m planning to: • Add proper login systems and payment integrations. • Explore using Tavas video to see if I can add that feature in a budget-friendly way for students. • Work on pricing because I know students always look for affordable options. • Improve the overall experience even more so they can keep practicing and become pros!

Challenge compliance

This project was fully built and submitted within the hackathon timeline. We started yesterday evening, finished today — thanks to Bolt and ElevenLabs for making it so easy and fast!
