Inspiration
We were inspired by our interests in medicine, community health and our love for rhythm games.
What it does
Informs the user about the importance and facts of CPR with relevant information. All while having an engaging game integrated within.
How we built it
We used Unity/C# for programming. Piskel for art. Photopea for cleaning up art.
Challenges we ran into
GitHub sometimes didn't work in our favor, but we were able to work it out in the end. Other problems included logical errors in the code. One notable one was the spawning of three "beat bars" at once instead of just one due to multiple instances of a class spawning them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Getting a working prototype within a reasonable amount of time and being able to collaborate without unreasonable friction.
What we learned
The importance of good code structure. How to shift priorities when necessary, and that git clone can be useful.
What's next for CPR Rhythm Simulator
If it shows promise to better public health, we could add a few more things like the different types of CPR such as with an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). In the end, we just need a bit more content and a lot more polish.
