Inspiration
We noticed how many people with ADHD struggle (including ourselves) not with motivation, but with task paralysis and guilt-based productivity tools. We wanted to create something soft, supportive, and dopamine-friendly.
What it does
Cozy Quest turns everyday chores into calming “cozy quests,” using kawaii design, tiny task breakdowns, and instant positive reinforcement to help users get started and stay engaged.
How we built it
In 24 hours, we designed and prototyped the full user flow in Figma and Figma Make covering task creation, daily quests, rewards, and accessibility-focused UI. We collaborated on UX, UI, interactions, and motion.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled with designing everything from scratch while keeping the Figma Make prototype cohesive and functional. Another major challenge was building an experience that felt comprehensive yet simple enough for users with ADHD. We had to balance clarity, minimal cognitive load, and adaptability making sure every feature and visual element could adjust to the user’s needs without overwhelming them.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a high-fidelity prototype with a cohesive visual identity, neurodivergent-friendly UX choices, and a fully functional quest-and-reward loop all within a single hackathon sprint.
What we learned
We learned how crucial instant feedback, low-pressure design, and emotional safety are for ADHD users. We also deepened our understanding of kawaii aesthetics and accessibility principles.
What's next for Cozy Quest - ADHD-Friendly Productivity Mobile app
We plan to add dynamic task suggestions, customizable companions, mood-based quests, and real progress analytics. A pilot study with ADHD users is next to refine features before development.
