Inspiration

As students, we became increasingly frustrated with being unable to find other people in class to reach out to and study with. It can be difficult to connect due to large class sizes, fear, etc. CoZone is a platform where you are able to find peers from your classes to help each other through our academic journeys.

What it does

Once you register for an account, you are prompted to take a quiz that will categorize you into one of the three learning categories: tactile, auditory, and visual. This is not meant to be an app that pairs you with who ever is the most compatible to your learning type, it is meant to embrace differences in our learning styles and use those differences to empower each other. After the quiz, you may select your avatar, classes, and then you may begin to search for collaborators within your courses.

How we built it

The app was prototyped on Figma and then we eventually implemented our designs onto Swift. Also Navigation

Challenges we ran into

We ran into issues regarding how to implement the UI/UX, and how best to design the app

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of our growth compared to last year's DandyHacks, we were amazed to see how much our skills have developed and how many new languages we have learned since then

What we learned

We got more comfortable with Swift and Figma!

What's next for CoZone

"Our mission is to alleviate the pervasive sense of isolation and dis-empowerment experienced by students in educational settings by developing an innovative app. This platform is designed to foster a supportive community, enabling students to seamlessly connect with like-minded peers within their courses. By facilitating the formation of compatible study groups or assignment teams, we aim to enhance student engagement, encourage meaningful collaborations, and ultimately bolster productivity. Our goal is to streamline the process of finding suitable partners, thereby empowering students to actively participate, interact, and thrive in their academic journeys."
