Our Inspiration for COYou

IT-Companies worldwide have acknowledged their digital carbon footprint and thus, their corporate responsibility to global environment. Striving to make their product development cleaner, more resource-efficient, and sustainable is central to their modern agenda. The key to building such products is to promote a clean mindset to all employees as it is their fingertips that are shaping the future --- after all, all innovations begin in somebody's mind.

How COYou works

COYou is an app where team members can challenge each other to tasks for a good cause, which can be environmentally focused but are not limited to this.

For this, we invented an in-app currency, the Sapling. As an employer, you can distribute saplings to your employees to initiate the challenge process. From there on, team members can accept and create challenges for any amount of saplings. Saplings attached to a successfully completed challenge will then be exchanged for some kind of carbon compensation in a partner organization (e.g., planting trees, emission offset, forest conservation).

Individuals of the same team can compete against each other via an internal leaderboard and as do teams against other teams in a global leaderboard.
