Inspiration
We wanted to create an alternative to popular sites like TaskRabbit of Fiveer focused on helping people rather than making a profit.
What it does
Our site connects people from around the city, it lets you spend Cow Coins to create a post requesting help from people and earn cow coins by helping with odd jobs(The original poster confirms they were helped and awards coins).
We want to encourage community, collaboration, and cow puns.
How we built it
We used VS code and GitHub to work collaboratively on a site made in HTML.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was wrangling with GitHub, we had to ensure things were pushed and pulled correctly and that our branches were being merged.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I like the unique theming, I think our site has a distinct brand and aesthetic.
What we learned
Jackson and I enjoyed working on a site that could have a really positive impact on the world. It was much more fulfilling to create than the goofy sites we usually make.
What's next for CowMoonity
We want to try and put our site online and create Google integration so that your Cow Coins are linked to your email. We also see potential in blockchain technology to turn Cow Coins into a fully-fledged cryptocurrency.
