Inspiration
Amidst the challenging times of covid, multiple people have created apps to help people in need, and that's what inspired me.
What it does
The search engine helps us in finding a covid vaccination appointment near us.
How we built it
We built the search engine using the Elastic App Search. The datasets are completely genuine as they have been taken from the official cowin.gov.in website using their public APIs.
Challenges we ran into
Understanding how to request data was something new that I got to learn.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Proud of implementing whatever I've learnt into creating a project where I could test my learnings was an accomplishment.
What we learned
Learning a new skill like Elastic Search Engine and how it works was definitely amazing. Understanding how everything is connected was important and then using it to implement our project.
What's next for CoWin-Appointment
Making the searches more accurate and reliable is something that we would like to improve upon. Again, that can be done using the Elastic App Search which is extremely efficient and hassle-free. Making it easy for the users is always a priority.
