Inspiration
Dating app crossed with finance with a wild west theme.
What it does
A way for Cowboys to get Capital for their wild west business and a way for investors to find businesses in the wild west to invest in.
How we built it
We built the webpages using HTML, CSS, Javascript. Special thanks to StackOverFlow, W3 schools, Geeks for Geeks, and ChatGTP for help with debugging and research.
Challenges we ran into
Only one member of our team has done frontend Webdev before and none of us have done backend, so this project definitely had a steep learning curve for most of us.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We built a minimum viable front-end for the website and defined the matching criteria. We also made sure to keep the site colors as accessible as possible by using a color contrast checker to ensure high contrast for all text. For this reason, we'd like to be considered for the Fidelity DEI category.
What we learned
We learned the basics of CSS, HTML, and Javascript.
What's next for Cowboy Capital
Connecting the frontend to the backend and refining the look and functionality of the site. We also want to add even more accessibility features like text to voice functionality that is on by default and can be turned off in profile set ups. As part of the backend, we also want to add a login page with password validation.
