Our mission is to help people during these hard times by creating a Google extension that displays cases, deaths, recoveries, and recovery rates. We learned how to use multiple applications to create a Google extension like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Google Extensions. The main problem we faced was getting the search for cases program to work.

I worked on using JavaScript to call an API and retrieve data, and then displaying that information in the HTML file. Both APIs and JavaScript were quite new for me, so I struggled quite a bit but eventually made a script that worked. Attending this hackathon has made me aware of the benefits of an API, good teamwork, and JavaScript, all of which I will hopefully use in future projects/hackathons. Without my team, I wouldn't have gotten to the chance learn and dive deep into JavaScript this hackathon.

I created the google extension using JSON (Java Script Object Notation) and utilizing Photoshop to create the logo and images. I helped construct the idea and found the necessary tutorials for every member to complete their section. I am grateful for my team's effort and commitment to finishing CovidTracker.

I worked on design and help a little on HTML and CSS. Everything felt new for me, especially using shared GitHub to collab with team members. Even though it's my first project on my first hackathon, I am very grateful to have done my best with my teammates.
