Inspiration

Recently India is going with a lot of trouble with corona virus. So we took inspiration from there making a site to help people get as many information and resources about covid-19 as they can.

What it does

Our project easily provide information related to Covid-19 pandemic like:

  • Daily upcoming cases globally including total cases, recovery and deaths along with the graph.
  • Chat-bot which can provide with some basic information about covid-19.
  • Information about general resources like prevention, symptoms, precautions and many more.
  • Seeking doctor's advice in one click.
  • We can also able to view daily updated tweets about covid-19.

How we built it

  • We built our website using HTML5, CSS3 and Javascript.
  • We collaborated via GitHub.

Challenges we ran into

  • As all members of our team are beginners and none of us had a lot of experience with HTML,CSS and javascript, taking up this project was pretty challenging.

  • One of the biggest challenges was collaborating on one project along with four three people. However, we were able to divide up tasks. We hung out on Google Meet to talk about any problems we ran into and shared our thoughts and random ideas as well.

  • We ran into several issues while coding and pushing code to repositories, which we solved using screen sharing on google meet.

    Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • We are proud that we were able to develop a Covidsol web page with most of of the functionality we had planned on achieving and had the greatest fun while trying to come up with solutions to the issues we ran into!

    What we learned

  • As none of the team members had much knowledge of HTML,CSS and Javascript, we learnt quite a lot about the technology by jumping right into building something like .

  • We also learned about the importance of time-management and collaboration since we're from different states and the hackathon was virtual.

    What's next for CovidSol

We will host this site and make it available for publlic use in India after doing few more changes.
