Inspiration
COVIDSIM simulator for Covid-19 allow us to predict the burden of disease to the health care systems and is already used in some countries worldwide for pandemic preparedness planning
Many more projects like this will be necessary worldwide to navigate this pandemic safely, to mitigate the economic effects and to reduce number of infections, eventually, save lives. Supporting this project will ensure that our network of scientists can contribute their share their expertise about Covid-19.
What it does
Our main goal is to reach Health Institutes worldwide to help them plan and prepare for the pandemic and post-pandemic. We want to work with them closely, advising them about different strategies according to their country needs, and offer them effectively "exit strategies" while mitigating the risk of sanitary, economic and social crisis.
Please note that our simulator has been ranked among the best in the world for Coronavirus Pandemic, and has been already used by some institutions, such as the Ministry of Health of New Zealand, as you can see in this report:
IMAAC network is a non profit entity focused on research and innovation, that counts with an interdisciplinary network of scientists from 28 countries in Europe. Our network already has the knowledge and outreach to implement a mitigation strategies against Covid-19.
Covidsim.eu is simulator created by our modelers Markus Schwehm and Martin Eichner, both of them with more than 30 years of experience working in epidemics such Ebola, SARS, MERS, Dengue or malaria.
