Inspiration

Some people do not have access to good medical advice. We want to provide a resource that can help these people get answers.

What it does

It gives useful information about the coronavirus. This includes live case numbers and ways to stay safe.

How we built it

We used dialogflow to create intents and the basic framework of the bot. We integrated the bot into a website using html. We set up cloud functions using firebase to feed in information.

Challenges we ran into

We had trouble getting the firebase functions to work correctly.

Accomplishments that we are proud of

We are proud that we got a working demo together.

What we learned

We learned how to create an advanced chat bot and how to use Google Cloud.

What's next for covidbot

We hope that covidbot can help give people accurate information about the coronavirus. We are ready to deploy it to all platforms including Facebook Messenger, Google Assistant, and Twitter.
