Inspiration

The COVID pandemic is a very disastrous pandemic for many people. We wanted to make an app that can tell a user about the statistics near them.

What it does

The website allows the user to choose whether they want to look at statistics nationwide or statewide. For "Nationwide", the user selects a date and a keyword that they want to search by. The user will then get their information. If the user selects "State", they will get notes based on their state, so that the user can learn more about their state in general.

How I built it

We built it using repl.it and GitHub.

Challenges I ran into

We couldn't figure out a way to load the data from our API. We looked at online tutorials in order to figure out what went wrong in order to get everything to work.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We are proud that our project was able to work in the end. We are also proud to be able to learn how to use API's and implement them in JS.

What I learned

We learned how to use API's and implement them in JS. I think this was our major accomplishment in the project! :)

What's next for CoviData

We can make this website a more user-friendly website in order to make the experience better. We can also style everything in a better format in order to get everything to look better.
