Due to the abundance of information regarding COVID-19, we wanted to create a website that would explain what COVID-19 is in the most comprehensible way possible.
What it does
The website informs users regarding COVID-19 such as the symptoms, how to protect oneself, an interactive map of where COVID-19 has struck, a discussion page for users to voice their concerns or ask about COVID-19, and a FAQ page.
How we built it
We used HTML, CSS, and JS (no framework).
Challenges we ran into
We focused primarily on front end-- back end was challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Incorporating the map into our website.
What we learned
Everything except the basic text and image incorporation in HTML we learned over the course of the hackathon.
What's next for COVID19Site
Streamlining the UI and incorporating a forum API so users can discuss and inquire about COVID19.
