Inspiration
With the recent coronavirus pandemic that has taking a toll on the world, I felt as a developer i can assist our courageous health care workers at the front line to fight the virus
What it does
The Covid application gives current information and statistics of the disease in every country. This can assist people especially migrants know the severity of the disease in the country they are going to.
How I built it
It was build using the recommended architecture (MVVM), Object Oriented Principles and life data. Retrofit was used to fetch data through the coronaAPI.
Challenges I ran into
I had a little challenge with the understanding the API and making use of pagination to display the list of countries in sets.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud that the app was finished in due time and it works perfectly as expected.
What I learned
We learnt the importance of team work, and also how to work under pressure.
What's next for COVID
Covid will always be a work in progress. It will be open source for other talented developers contribute to create more awareness and deliver help for infected patients.
