Inspiration
One of our teammates contracted covid but couldn't recall where they went so creating this web app, it allows for people to log where they've been.
What it does
It logs your activity during the pandemic.
How we built it
We used ReactJS and a little bit of google firebase
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we ran into were communication as well as team planning. In addition, the lack of experience also had to play into our product. As for technical challenges, we ran in to lots of trouble connecting Google's FIreStore (which we implemented in Python/Flask) and our React app.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Although we had many challenges, I feel like our product was still very good for the amount of time that was given.
What we learned
We learned that team communication and team planning is very important.
What's next for Covid Tracker
We may implement more features such as "map hot zones" that basically show places with a high volume of people.
