Inspiration
Just a way to track the Covid-19 Spread across time & Countries.
What it does
It shows a playback of the data sourced from open datasets and shows the progression of the spread.
How I built it
HTML, CSS, JS, and some scripts to pull and update data.
Challenges I ran into
Data source kept changing formats & I was using a poor csv2json converter.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Quickly packaged into a PWA and put it up for people to "Add to their Home Screen" for better consumption.
What I learned
Benchmark your conversions and make sure you account timezone differences and data format changes so the site doesn't die when it updates.
What's next for Covid Timeline
Keep adding more charts and additional information and interactivity.
