Inspiration
As the summer months come closer and closer, who wouldn't like to enjoy a pandemic-free world and a much needed summer? The inspiration for this project was our concern for people who don't wear masks, social distance, or vaccinate themselves. We thought that a visual might help influence them to follow CDC guidelines. Moreover, we will be able to get back to normal life quicker if they agreed.
What it does
Our program runs a simulation of the spread of COVID where the user can influence a number of factors such as the population size, the initial infected population, mobility of the people, and whether the population wears a mask or not. The point of this program is to motivate anti-mask, anti-vax, and anti-social distance to cooperate and help us resume our normal life as quickly as possible.
How we built it
- Snap!
- Google Slides ## Challenges we ran into
- We did not know the same languages
- We could not work on Snap! in real time
- There was little time to collaborate together ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We are proud of the possibility of encouraging people to be more safe ## What we learned
- To align schedules better ## What's next for COVID: The Final Push This hackathon was really motivating and fun and we plan to join more in the future.
