Inspiration
With the pandemic, many people take over the stock of grocery stores and pharmacies, leaving the others in a critical need of common products. The Hospital are overbooked and some of medical staff use different platforms to communicate and coordinate such as Whatssap, Email, and more. Some people want to help directly the hospital but they don't know what they need. But every day more deaths are counted. We think that unity is a strength and communities can help to overcome this global pandemic.
What it does
COVID Share is a set of 4 mobile apps:
- Community: put in contact neighbors that are in critical need of necessary products such as cleaning and sanitize products, food, tools.
- Medical: simplify communication and express needs in real time. Encourage cooperation between hospitals or medical staff for different institution or locality
- Funding: allows hospital to express transparently their needs and allow communities to them funds rapidly
- Tracker: an app that show the progression of the pandemic and give statistical information
How we built it
We use Flutter a powerful UI toolkit and Firebase for Storage and cloud functions.
