Inspiration

Covid-19 is still continuing to spread all over the world. So, I decided to create awareness of preventing the spread of Covid through this app.

What it does

The theme of the app is Covid-19. There is a game where you need to remove the virus particles by tapping them. This can only happen when you click prevention image in the beginning. You would need to keep on clicking on that image as it provides more chances to clear the particles. The instructions for the game are included in the app. The app also contains a section called health information, where it explains the symptoms, preventions, and treatments of Covid. The last section contains the images of Covid vaccines.

How we built it

I used MIT App Inventor to create this android app.

Challenges we ran into

I faced challenges in setting the direction for the image sprites (virus particles) to move. The main image sprite (world map) was placed at its assigned position, but as I clicked the virus particles, the map moved at random directions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I used animations (similar to slideshow) whenever the user moves to another screen.

What we learned

I learned the movement of image sprites in app inventor and setting images as clickable.

What's next for Covid Game

I would like to create games related to Covid with new ideas.

Note: In order to test the app, its APK file is uploaded on step 4. The code document (google doc) link is included in the "try out links".
