Covid Database App/Website

The world is changing everyday. But there is one thing that has impacted the world the most, and that is COVID-19. Our project was constructed with the goal of providing users information about COVID.

Inspiration: We wanted to create something that informed people about COVID.

What it does: Basically a website containing information and quizzes on COVID.

How we built it: Using HTML, CSS, Javascript, JSON, and Google API.

Challenges we ran into: Configuring the Google API to work alongside live data and implementing a map into our website.

Accomplishments that we're proud of: Working through the Google API and learning about JSON.

What we learned: More about API development and JSON.

What's next for Covid Database App/Website: Having an automatic system that updates on a scheduled period.

I mostly worked on the back-end portion of this project. I Web Scraped information from WorldoMeter and Wikipedia into Excel Sheets which updates autonomously. With the given Spreadsheets, we programed it into our Google Maps with the use of Google's API. I also helped build arrays and HTML tables with the given coordinates and statistics of the Excel Spreadsheet. Lastly I helped convert the back-end portion into the front-end.
