Cleanliness at essential businesses (like grocery stores) is key to prevent transmission either from direct or indirect contact. Even though business owners are doing their best to keep these places clean, without a tool telling them specific areas of risk they are operating off of guesswork and hoping they have a large enough janitorial staff to keep the whole store sanitized. We identify areas of risk through a variety of computer vision and signal processing techniques, pinpointing where people have walked and touched merchandise and where they have coughed. Businesses can use this tool to direct their resources to places of transmission risk and hopefully mitigate the spread of the disease.
