Inspiration

The COVID-19 pandemic has been all over the news recently thanks to the new omicron variant, which has caused a colossal surge in COVID-19 cases. Testing has been in short supply as people are desperate to get tested as soon as possible, but testing frequently cannot be sustained forever, and many people do not have access to tests. At school, we have seen teachers and students go down left and right with COVID-19, and have personally wondered if it is only a matter of time before we go down as well.

What it does

This website calculates the probability that YOU have COVID-19 right now based on a few places you went to over the past week.

How we built it

We spent a lot of time doing research into the statistics of COVID-19. We analyzed graphs, charts, numbers, and eventually developed a plausible mathematical formula for COVID-19 probability based on close contacts and places you went.

Challenges we ran into

It was very difficult to find all of the information behind the prediction and develop a mathematical model to connect it all.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are very proud of managing to make an accurate prediction on whether you have COVID-19 based on a few places you went over the past week. We are also happy with how simple and easy it is to use for the user and the general aesthetic.
