Inspiration

Common citizens desire easy access to COVID-19 data with an easy-to-use interface.

What it does

Returns specific COVID-19 case data based on user's desire input.

How we built it

Built a Python wrapper for an open-source COVID-19 data API. Developed a Discord bot using the Discord.py API to take user inputs and return required COVID-19 data.

Challenges we ran into

Time :cry:. Many of the planned design concepts were simply not implemented due to time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Developing the Python wrapper for the API and developing the source code for the Discord bot.

What's next for COVID-chan

• Incorporating more commands for users to access COVID-19 Data
  • Improved hosting (have the bot be hosted by a server for 24/7 usage)
• Improved graphics
