Inspiration

In India, the condition of people, society, industries etc. due to Covid-19 is very critical. Lockdown had a good impact in keeping people safe from during this global pandemic. However, it is not possible for the Government to impose complete lockdown all over the nation due to various reasons as people have to buy daily needs from Market and many other things. At this time, in India, different exams are taking place physically to avoid cheating. Also, online exams are not possible in remote areas of the country. When Students are reaching at their Exam Centers, most are trying to maintain social distancing from other students but this is not so easy. This motivated us to develop an app for this serious problem.

What it does

Nowadays, most of the college/school students have Smartphones/tablets/smartwatch having Class-2 or Class-3 Bluetooth technology. Our app asks its user to grant permission of Bluetooth and create a safe Environment range of up to 10 metres from the user. If anyone comes under this range, then the device will start buzzing and notify and aware of the user.

Challenges I ran into

One of the biggest challenges was to manage the learning of app development with the ongoing class. However, we weren't able to learn app development completely. At that time, some of our seniors supported us in creating this app.

Accomplishments That We are proud of

First of all, by using this app, we can maintain social distance very easily and economically. We only require a device. In addition to this, the app is also very helpful for our physical/visually impaired friends. They found it very helpful and we are feeling glad to help him.

What's next for COVID-Care

Next, we are looking for users to create their accounts and then we will do regular surveys in it to ensure what is the status of the pandemic and it's the effect in everyone's health. Also, we are looking forward to adding another feature that will provide information about the red zoned areas to the user. We are working on it.
