Inspiration
This was inspired when I went to my local hospital and saw the immense struggles that people faced. Instead of taking time to ask questions, this project lets the doctor assess the criteria for patients and let them examine more patients for the purpose of assisting more people.
What it does
This project uses a basic forum to ask the user some questions, however, it then sends the information that the user has given right back to the doctor. This is *deployable * and unlike other projects you would see, it is ** simple for all clients or users **.
How we built it
Using the latest technologies of PySimpleGui, sockets, and multiprocessing I was able to make this project. MULTIPROCESSING IS DIFFERENT FROM MULTITHREADING. PySimpleGui was for the front end to control all functions and sockets were used to control all the backend material. Multiprocessing helped in controlling what ran and when.
Challenges we ran into
Writing and maintaining a server in python is hard. Since C++ and rust are the go-to languages for those types of tasks. However the issues were mostly when decoding and encoding data as a data stream was set for the server to access information. However by the end I was able to accomplish this and succeeded.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Being able to make sure that it is deployable to a mass audience and that it can ensure rapid results. The doctor or nurse can go through more information and patients and this lets them save LIVES.
What we learned
Using sockets in python was a difficult task for sure. What I learned was to always go through the code for mistakes and make sure the libraries implemented can do their tasks. Like using _thread and multiprocessing worked for different reasons but for the same purposes.
