Inspiration
We were of course inspired by the pandemic
What it does
The code simulates a game in which the user attempts to avoid COVID cells and survive.
How we built it
We used Processing, utilizing the many methods that Processing provides to create the shapes and the sprites of the COVID cells and the player
Challenges we ran into
We encountered numerous challenges throughout the development of the code, such as trying to trigger "game over".
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to develop this game, considering how it is our first hackathon and our limited coding skills.
What we learned
We learned various things, such as how much work is required for a game, even a simple one like this.
What's next for CoronaChaos
We may be adding a multiplayer gamemode as well as other gameplay mechanics, such as power-ups (vaccinations for example), multiple lives, and rounds
