About

We aim to help as many people get the COVID-19 vaccine as possible.

As COVID-19 vaccines are finally being distributed, there is an enormous logistical and supply chain challenge in the distribution at country, state and county levels. Elderly, at-risk and frontline workers are waiting to get vaccines but many have found it extremely difficult to sort through various websites and news. While most states updated mentioning that individuals 65 or older are eligible to get Covid-19 vaccinations, there are no tools to find a nearby location where vaccines are available. Currently, people are constantly calling vaccine providers to find out if vaccines are available and trying to book appointments. However, this adds a lot of strain for hospitals.

Our solution

We built a voice-enabled, real-time monitoring and crowdsourced platform to help people stay informed of COVID-19 vaccine provider locations, availability, appointments, and resources. This tool is built to make vaccine provider information easily accessible and decrease the load on the thousands of calls hospitals are currently receiving. We aim to save time and effort for people looking to get vaccinated by not having to call dozens of hospitals to get an appointment.

In addition, we wanted our platform to be easily accessible to everyone including elderly and specially-abled so we decided to implement Voice. Alan AI Voice allows users to effortlessly communicate with the platform and simply ask the website for a nearby location with available vaccines. We are working on implementing new voice feature and hope to make the whole website operable through voice.

How to use

Voice-search by clicking on the Alan button at the bottom right or manual search. Ask Alan “What can you do?”

Users can search for Covid vaccines at their closest locations by entering the City or Zip Code they’re in. The list of providers displays vaccine availability, a timestamp of the last update, address and contact information of the provider. By clicking on 'More Details' for each location, users can view the feedback/comments from verified volunteers who last visited or got an appointment at that particular location. Resources tab provides links to latest Government news and regulations, CDC Health guidelines, Covid-19 Vaccine Phases/Availability news.
