The vaccine is the only measure that can help us fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Vaccination is also important to achieve the public health goal of herd immunity.
Working in the health care industry, I decided to tackle the challenge of data visualization in the public health track. COVID-19 has changed our lives. To get normalcy back, vaccination is the key.
What it does
Data visualization shows that the continents and US states with lower vaccination have higher cases of new deaths related to COVID-19. This proves that vaccination works in reducing deaths related to COVID-19.
How we built it
I build the data visualization by using Power BI
Challenges we ran into
This is the first time I have worked with data visualization. I wanted to add filters to my visual where users can see the data by months and days though I could not do it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud that I could make a data visual in Power BI, considering it was my first time working with this software.
What we learned
I learned that how data visualization works as a powerful tool to convey a message. During the process, I also learned about merging data sheets in excel, taking chunks of data, and making something meaningful out of it.
