INSPIRATION

COVID-19 spreads like a wildfire and before you know it, you might already be infected by the virus. The only way to be sure about whether you are infected or not is by getting yourself tested. Unfortunately, the current medical resources do not allow the hospitals to test every other person frequently. This caused panic in the initial stage as thousands of people were gathered in hospitals. Furthermore, the virus only spreads through the interaction of people. The symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure, and in the due time, the people you have interacted with can also get infected which will have no idea that they are now spreading the virus too before they start feeling the symptoms. Therefore, it is necessary to take proper precautions to limit the spread of this virus. “COVID-19 Tracker” aims to limit the spread of the virus by keeping a record of the persons you have interacted with within the last 14 days and timely notifies you if you have come in contact with a COVID infected person.

What its main feature

• Inspects the risk factor based on direct contact with the infected patient. • The possible transmission is checked in 14 tier of contact and the risk factor is determined based on the position in the tier relative to the person in contact. • The data for contact is stored for each user for the period of 14 days.

Challenges I ran into

There were many issues especially there was an issue of time. I need to develop and full application in just a week and present it in the hackathon named Hakistan . Secondly, the feature that detects fake news was ready but we could not get excess to local news channels which was a really difficult task. Lastly, the greatest challenge was designing an effective tracking system to get and test it in such a small time it was the biggest challenge that we faced.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We Developed the application which is ready for deployment. The tracking system is really efficient and designed for especially this pandemic COVID 19. The main purpose was to get a system that could help the world fight the COVID 19 virus and this could be done only by intelligent testing which was the main feature and had made us proud of it.
