Inspiration
Despite a huge media campaign (news, statistics etc.) it is hard to find up-to-date information about medical centres that carry on tests of the novel virus. I found inspiration in the crowd sourced datasets provided by Postman:
https://covid-19-apis.postman.com/covid-19-testing-locations
The ultimate goal is to raise awareness that these data sources exist and inspire new contributors.
What it does
The app is a simple chatbot that allows the user to quickly arrive at the nearest medical centre where they can get tested on Corona virus.
The bot lists all available centres in the respective US state and includes relevant information. Namely the address, opening times, phone numbers. It allows to invoke a phone call and provides driving instructions thanks to the integration with Google maps.
How I built it
I built the front-end and the conversation flow using a chatbot builder provided by SnatchBot. On the server side of things I created a proxy that queries Postman's data set - Gitlab repository.

What's next for COVID-19 Test Locations
I'd like to further extend the functionality by providing info about test locations in Europe or any other continent or country. Please get in touch if you would like to contribute or share your ideas.
