Inspiration
The 'Covid Alert NY' mobile app.
What it does
It keeps track of an individual's covid-19 related symptoms. The moment a critical symptom is logged, the user is giving a visual prompt to call 911.
How I built it
I built it using react. It is a semi dynamic application. The only user interaction is the selection of which covid symptom to add to the record of symptoms. I only considered symptoms listed by the CDC.
Challenges I ran into
I'm new to react so there were some semantics that I needed to familiarize with.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
This is my very first project using React. I still have a lot to learn but being able to produce this project is a confirmation that I have actually soaked in the basic concept learned in class / tutorials.
What I learned
I started the project without a full understanding of what I wanted to accomplish. Hard way to learn that I should first solidify what I want to accomplish first then dive into coding. (and my CSS skills are not that great, ... at all)
What's next for Covid-19 Symptom History
I'm going to get a better grip on css. I'll restyle the project using better css. There are more functionalities that I want to add such as allowing users to share their pandemic coping habits.
