During a world pandemic like this is when everyone’s skills are put to test. The doctors, the engineers, the politicians, …. everyone! It is during such times when the entire world truly unites. Everyone is working hard to ensure safety and prevent the spread of such viruses. In such a time, We would like to present not a solution but an app that will help reduce the spread of the Covid-19!
Inspiration
Our inspiration was from the various learning opportunities, prizes and challenges! We are all fairly new to Hackathons however, TOHacks has encouraged us with such things and motivating workshops! This app was based off of the 6 feet radius rule which is enforced to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
What it does
This app is build to warn people to avoid breaking the 6 feet radius rule. If anyone enters the 6 feet radius of the user, then the app will immediately detect it and send alerts to your phone. This will reinforce social distancing and will further reduce the spread of the Covid-19
How we built it
We are currently using the Android Studio and Java to build this app!
Challenges we ran into
We came across various softwares however, they were also many issues with programming and our lack of knowledge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We all are fairly new to hackathons and all of us are High school students. We are proud that we were able to come up with an amazing idea and put it all together in 24 hours!
What we learned
Since all of us are in highs school, we don't have much experience with coding. Here we were able to explore various platforms, learn from mentors, collaborate with like-minded individuals, and develop an app!
