inspiration

What inspired me to build this is that, people had fear and continues to panic as there are not enough test kits to conduct mass testing when few cases were recorded thinking they could be careers of the virus. Leading a lot of people depressed. So i was inspired to build a tool that could install calm in people by predicting their risk factor.

what it does

The app allows individuals to take a quick survey that looks out for things like travel history and symptoms to predict their risk factor. People who may have a high risk factor are advised to self isolate and call the national covid-19 help line for immediate assistant. People with low risk factor are advised to stay home and maintain social distance.

how I built this

I built this with php and mysql to help collect Data on number of high, mid and low risk individuals. The questionnaire was based on WHO symptoms of Covid-19 and highly infected countries.

challenges I faced

There was no typical challenge in building this but the challenge now is to get the ministry to ensure its wide usage to colate data to make projections and get help professions assist those who will have a mid or high risk factor.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm proud that people can test with the app and know their risk factor instantly which installs calm.

What I learned

I've learned how to respond to emergency and developers tools to help in terms of crisis.

What's next for Covid-19 Risk Factor Assessment Tool

The next is to add a form that collate data of people with mid and high risk factor and add health professionals that will talk to those with high and mid risk factor and monitor their situation.
