Inspiration
One of the biggest problems today is covid-19.COVID-19 pandemic has affected the economy and changed the human way of life, disrupting everyone’s mental, physical, and financial well-being. Many of the fastest-growing economies are strained owing to the severity and communicability of the epidemic. Because of the increasing diversity of cases and the resulting burden on healthcare practitioners and the government, therefore, predicting the number of COVID-19 cases could be useful in planning for the required resources in the future.
What does it do?
The project visualizes current covid data and predicts future cases.Implemented a web application that displays the current number of confirmed cases of the world and the predicted number of cases for 5 different countries.
How we built it?
We built it by testing various ml models and coming up with the most accurate model(R2 score= 0.99).For the web development I have used Django , Html, CSS ,Javascript
Challenges we ran into
Challenges were that there were a lot of problems while fitting data and creating future dataframes.
Accomplishment
Accurate results and a lot of learning in the process.
what we learnt:
Use of ML and how can we use it to solve real-world problems. Also learnt implementation of ML models.
What's next for Covid 19 Prediction and Visualization using ML
Getting it to a local and regional level.
