Conceptual Basis
Systems govern reality We inhabit physical systems from galactic to subatomic scale. Biological systems like human brains enable a conscious interface with physical systems. Conceptual systems like economics are generated by consciousness to associate value with social abstractions.
Equilibrium enforces stability Systems seek a steady state that is efficient to maintain and propagates strong system properties. Anomalous stimulus imposed on a system can be assimilated by equilibrium or provoke disruption. Genetic code disrupts systems by introducing evolutionary variables. Ideas disrupt systems when their networked influence overcomes normalized behaviors. Technology disrupts systems when human invention interfaces with a physical environment.
Disruption spawns emergence Anomalies gain strength as they are propagated throughout a network. Disruption occurs when anomalies overcome equilibrium. Systems respond to disruption by generating adaptive behaviors that exceed the informational contents of a network. Emergent effects are non-predictable consequences of disruption that reformat a new equilibrium point. Life is an emergent product of a physical system responding to disruptive chemical processes. Consciousness emerged as a result of environmental, social and biological disruption. Civilization is an emergent effect produced in response to disruptive human social patterns.
COVID-19 Implication
Emergence generates order Our work focuses on how emergent effects generate continuity between physical, conscious and abstract systems. This project is inspired by our conclusion that emergent effects drive reality forward by stimulating phenomena from quantum entanglement to economic market behavior.
COVID-19 system effects The objective of this project is to model COVID-19 as a disruption to equilibrium and capture emergent consequences with economic, epidemiological and social impact. We use a unique base-3 logic construct to create a synthetic surrogate for a system. Base-3 logic transforms systems into essential elements organized around actors capable of autonomous action, rules that mediate interactions, and forces that influence behavior. The resulting model specifies decision pathways through the system that lead to winning emergent conditions.
Platform dynamics We built a module on our technology specifically engineered for COVID-19 rapid response. The module uses a small set of data samples collected at 3Silver.co to identify areas of opportunity and vulnerability relative to COVID-19. The assessment is processed and presented in as little as 24 hours.
Project Specifications
Collect data We will aggregate data on COVID-19 response behaviors through our online COVID-19 assessment app. The dataset will represent a cross section of industries and specialties. Information will be deidentified and consolidated into a format compatible with base-3 logic. .
Transform systems The integrated dataset will contain quantified inputs from all responders. Data will be transformed into base-3 logic syntax, then interpreted on a spectrum of common to unique properties. The resulting analytics will interface with our existing heuristic models to generate a synthetic surrogate for those systems disrupted by COVID-19. The surrogate will be responsive to incoming stimulus supplied by the conformed dataset.
Model decision pathways Base-3 logic will be used to specify decision pathways through the synthetic surrogate that lead to winning conditions. The result will be a network schematic that models a system equilibrium point. COVID-19 will function as a disruption that affects integral network dynamics. We will model the impact of disruption and enable emergent consequences. The model will generate a synthetic expression of how a post-COVID-19 system will function at equilibrium. The output will indicate those entities that will experience upside/downside as a consequence of emergent effects.
