Inspiration
Current Pandemic left people dying due to shortage of life saving products, like oxygen tanks, beds in hospital, Remdesivir Injections etc. We just thought of a way to help the common people!
What it does
Our Web-application collects the data of people in need and displays it openly for other people who can help them and also allows to share the details on social medial so that more number of people can contribution to the society to save the common people.
How we built it
We use react library to make the front end and designed it using bootsrap, css and material-ui. We made use of firebase to store the people's data and fetch it whenever required.
Challenges we ran into
Most challenging part in the entire hackathon was that our only team member who was responsible to provide us with a fully functioning backend left us high and dry without a single line of code. So, we with no knowledge of backend learned how to use firebase and apply it to our project in a single day!
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We successfully created a beautiful front end that is very responsive on almost all sizes of screen and most importantly we learned how to use firebase for backend pushing us toward mastering full stack development.
What we learned
Teamwork and firebase, time management
Note
As one of our teammate left us by not responding to us until 5 minutes before submission deadline and he owned the github repo we were working on we had to fork the repository we contributed to from the beginning (you will se he didn't contributed to the original repository). Also note that he may submit his own submission using our code.
What's next for Covid-19 Helper
