Inspiration
What it does
Shows a list of nearby users and whether they have covid. Also includes a section that calculates an individual's risk level based on their sex, height, weight, age, and whether they're immunocompromised.
How I built it
I built the app in android studio, and Olivia wrote the risk calculations based on a dataset that she has access to. Matt set up the server, but wasn't able to get it connected to the app before the deadline.
Challenges I ran into
We weren't able to connect the app to the server, so the functionality is significantly limited.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud that I was able to put a team together and get as much of the project done as we could, especially since this was the first time any of us had done a hackathon.
What I learned
This was my first time organizing a team of people outside of school, so I learned a bit about how to manage people.
What's next for Covid-19 contact tracing and risk calculation app
It'd be nice if we could get it connected to the server and working fully.
