ARtist enables users to create, place and to interact with location-based 3D content in Augmented Reality utilizing smartphones.
The core functionalities of AR.fx are shown in Fig. 4.2.
Search & Find
One of the core gamification elements of AR.fx is search & find. User can find 3D objects and blueprints in AR all over the world, organised in so called Sub-Spaces (e.g. gaming, nature, culture & heritage, tourism, entertainment, celebrities, etc.), obtain, interact and collect. They can do so individually or with friends. Blueprints found can be constructed to awesome 3D objects and added to the user's portfolio of 3D objects, which can be used to create unique AR scenes. Another way to obtain 3D objects and blueprints is redeeming AR Coins that can be found in treasure chests distributed everywhere in the world and/or In-App purchased.
Blueprints (Poly-Draw)
We convert 3D objects into line-dot models, so called blueprints, which users can place in their private AR Space and/or find on Discover Space. By connecting the dots along the lines, user can create awesome 3D objects, individually or collaboratively.
AR Scene Editor
With the in-built AR Scene Editor User can create unique AR worlds using objects from the gallery. Even when the same objects would be used to create an AR Scene, placing the same at different real-world locations provides a unique and seamless user experience.
Social Network
The State of the art Social Networking functionalities have been integrated in to AR.fx, such as feeds, sharing screenshots, liking, following, inviting, etc. along with collaborative creation (blueprint events).
The Project COVID-19 (www.arfx.app)
AR.fx enables users to place COVID-19 virus in their real surroundings. You can use the virus in many creative ways to create unique AR scences to share with the world via Social Media.
