We were excited to participate in our first hackathon in person, but the pandemic hit and that prevented us from doing so. As we were brainstorming ideas, we thought why not use COVID-19 to our advantage?
What it does
Our project is python programmed. quiz and It has 20 questions testing you on your COVID-19 knowledge so far.
We built this project by using the free IDE online called Repl.it.
A challenge we faced while creating this program is when we tried to make the program re-run when the user typed in yes into the user input. We had to figure out how to use our own functions and place the particular code in the right spot.
Accomplishments that we're proud of are that we coded with Python with little to no background knowledge and we created an educational quiz!
Not only did we learn how to use Python, but we also learned a ton of new information about COVID-19.
This program can be used to educate different countries about the ongoing pandemic. Since the situation was handled differently based on where you are, there is always going to be new information about how other countries have handled it.
